Ever so happy for you! I know you've had a tough road but after today that's all in the rear view mirror. Wishing you many blessings.

    Thanks everybody....
I seem to get scared the day before treatment, then once I've had it I plod thru it, the couple weeks of the mouth thing goes pretty fast, and I have to spend time making sure I get enough hydration and food down the tube (so far I haven't found it easy taking "micro-care" of myself during these 2 1/2 weeks it takes to start healing....wonder what's with that? It's not like I've got so much other things to do...LOL.)

But you guys give me courage to get thru it, I know many of you have had it way worse than me....far more pain during other parts of the treatment...and you all made it, and so will I. Thanks for tucking me into your pockets.

    Good on Ya!
I've been away for a few days, so just now reading that YOU ARE FINISHED WITH CHEMO!! Sounds a lot better in the past tense than future tense, eh? You've been a great source of inspiration for all those who got on the bus at the same time you did, and since then. I hope this starts you on the road to full health. Remember, rather than it getting a little worse each day, it will now start to get a little better each day.

Leave the Bus keys on the table
P51 so the next group of newbies can fire it up and begin there journey.(although leaving it parked and letting it rust apart would be good if that meant no one would ever need this bus again) I believe most if not all who got on our bus from way back in March 2012 have completed their journey of treatment and now you are there. Now we wait to meet NED and all of us pray for that for ourselves and our fellow H N on this site and those that are not. It has been a long bus ride, longer for you and others than some, but anyone who got on this Bus for no matter how long felt the bumps of the travels. If its not out of line I just took you to be like a new friend that offered to share a bus seat with me way back in March and I have always looked forward to seeing your post. You inspired so many on this site, you always had something positive to say and since you were fighting your own tough battle you inspired us to continue the process and we will be fine. So maybe thats why your just now done. You are the kind of person to make sure you got everyone else over the hill then you knew your job was done and you can now join us.

    Yup, it's over
Got there at 8:30, had my Onc appointment while they got my port all accessed, and hooked up....slept till 3:30 when they kicked me out to go pick up my fanny pack of 5FU at a different place. For the next four days, I'll eat and drink what I want, test things, etc....cuz the mouth sores won't kick in till Sunday or so.

Gotta say, even with the mouth stuff looming in the near future, there is an excitement I only felt once before and that was when I finished rads....a freedom feeling. You guys are the BEST!! I have gotten so close to some of you...espcially my bus buddies...it's been quite a trip, huh? :) Kent you have been an inspiration from the first day I got here....I can always count on you to lift me up....

Now I'm getting sappy, I guess....maybe too many drugs today? No? Actually, it's how I feel and have felt from the moment I signed up to the forum....enveloped in caring and love...with others in the same fishing boat with me. Remember how scared I was...and I was infused with strength within one weeks of finding all of you...

Yes....I believe......and yes, I am going to survive this bump in my road of life...thanks to all of you, God, my Dr.s and the fabulous nurses....and my hubby who surprised me with his tender care and concern....our relationship is now on an enitrely different level.

    so happy!
    Phrannie,
I'm so happy for you. I just keep praying you won't get the sores this time.
Your story made me get teary eyed too. I'm so new to this site, started up just after my last rads 9 weeks ago and you all have helped me so much that reading your story made me all mushy too.
Get some rest I know it's been an emotional day and know that we are all pulling for you to recover from this faster and better than all the times before.
    take care,
    billie

    Chemo Hating You....Nope
    Nope, that wasn't it....

It was the chemo kicking the crap out of any hope for cancer to remain...or come back.

Here's to you P, your success, your survival and for the many clean years ahead...

    Best,

    yippee for you !
    Jackie......

soooooo happy for you to be finally getting to the end of this roller coaster ride....you have had the worst of all the side effects dumped on you....Everything that could happen DID happen and you still came thru it with flying colors. You are an inspiration to all the newcomers who are just starting the battle.

I hope this last little bit will go by quickly and uneventfully so you can get on with more important things. So eat while you can and soon you will be all done.

You should be SO proud of yourself... I know that we are.
