I am having shakes for a meal or a snack. Lots of berries, coconut milk, and veggies I smooothie up a berry, apple, banana and spinach smooth. I totally changed the way I eat. Hardly any beef or pork. I have 3 tiny corn tortillas and light cheese and spinach for lunch, the girls at the office laugh at me. I don't do the supplements while on chemo and I did stop them for a bit and that is when my CEA went up, coincidence maybe but I went back on Turmeric, Milk thistle and very strong green tea. My ONC does think that my diet is helping my immune system fight this monster... Since my CEA went up, I'm not having any alcohol at all. Try not to do sweets, because i crave them now and I never did before, ever. My ONC said in moderation, but this cancer is evil, and make you want more then you should have. I can see its mouth gulping the sugar. No way! ;)

I won't let up on my diet or supplements after this. I will also continue staying active. I have some stressful things going on in regards to my last employment, so I try and keep myself motivated and not let those thoughts consume my thoughts.

Juicing is great, and I do have one now and then....... I will start to add more often. I am working 12/6 now and it's hard to fit it all in. I think we make excuses and we shouldn't, it's our life. I never liked the mess the pulp made but I learned to put a small garbage bag in the juicer. Take Care....and thank you

    excellent
    keep it up!

here's a little more diet related information as my wife's oncologist is all for mushrooms as well, expecially shiitake

    There are many juicing books
There are many juicing books you can buy, or google. Most of greens are for GREAT your immune system to if you juice them add apple or carrots to sweeten them, they will surprise you. All berries are also great, so just start mixing and you will know what you like. If you search for the juice chick, Emily she has great recipes on this form too. Once you like a post here add it to your favorites so you can refer back to it.

There was a post here that had a link to turmeric just this week. It is good for your immune system. The way I see it, it may only be a good for a fraction in helping but put all them all together and you can't go wrong. Some cancer drugs are only get for a fraction itself.

Taking care of your health and helping you immune system is a must, any doctor will tell you that, cancer or not.
