Update on Tina

She is still having many problems as of late. Still throwing up very very tired and winded and very low blood counts. She got a bag platelets had a reaction and still needed blood. Took 8 days to find it and the Dr rejected one because it was pre 95 saying that they did not scan for many things in blood back then. I have been giving her Nupagen shots pretty much non stop to get her through this last chemo treatment and they have been giving her shots for her red blood count as well with neither keeping her counts up week to week. At her Dr's appointment on Monday he read some new reports on procedures she has had sense he saw her last and turned very dr ish(He does this when things aren't looken to good). Spent a lot of time on her abdomen in one particular spot. Said she needed a scan and needed it this week. Scan was done yesterday morning and we will see his his physision assistant on Monday being that he is scheduled for hospital duty next week. She will consult with him on the results as we sit there. He is not even considering taking her off chemo now and is just going to change her cocktail which makes me beleave he felt something. He was originally thinking she was going to get a break.

    Not so good
Spot on her lung, liver(Calling it a cyst hummm), enlarged lymph nodes in the abdominal area and a thickening of the uterus. She (His physision assistant)could not find a reference to the two tumors that were supposed to be shrinking and tried to explain it all away but.... He is definitely keeping her on chemo which I think speaks volumes on where his mind is.

    Prayers to you all

Sorry to hear that Tina will have to remain on chemo
I've been on what feels like endless chemo... 2 1/2 years... different combos. It certainly is a hard path, but it's the only way to keep the beast at bay. I'm hoping that they will find a combo that will allow Tina to feel better. I'm on gemzar/cisplatin which is given two weeks on and two weeks off. The second two weeks I feel quite strong and well and that goes a long way to allowing me more quality of life.

    BEEN THINKING OF YOU BOTH
I saw that you had posted responses to other threads, but didn't want to ask just yet about Tina. I'm sorry that she is not doing well. I'm sure this is physically draining for you as well. Which makes me appreciate even more that you find a way to keep us informed.

Sending so many hugs and prayers to you both. May our Lord bless you both with continued strength, one day at a time.

Keep the faith, Dave. Love to Tina.
