    Hey everyone. Im doing well.
Hey everyone. Im doing well. I went to the clinic yesterday and had my labs drawn. My WBC was at 4.7!!!!! My hemaglobin and plateletes were back on the climb as well. I didnt need anything except a little Magnesium. They gave me today off and are wanting me to come back tomorrow to have routine labs again. I will also be meeting with my nurse practitioner in regards to removing the hickman line soon. I felt so good sleep in today too. My mom is here and she is definitely in mom mode full force. She has every intention to getting these pounds that i was happy to lose back on me lol. Im constantly reminded how blessed I am and how grateful I am to have so much support.
DaddysGirl,I continue to pray for your dad and your family. When he gets the Melphalan please please please have hime chew ice and ice pops during the infusion and thirty minutes after its done. Thats what I did and I had no sores only a tender spot on the side of my tongue. It was advice given to me and it seemed to do the trick. Hes gonna get through this and get back to a good quality of life in no time.
Thank you all for your concerns

    Hi Mike
    Hi Mike,
Glad to hear that you're doing well, and that your mom is taking care of you! We all need our moms especially when we feel vulnerable, let her take care of you (it's OK to let other people take care of us once in a while) :)
Continue with the great updates! Take Care (((Hugs)))

    Sincerely,
    Liz

going to keep it short I
going to keep it short I appreciate all the messages above VERY VERY much and all the thoughts and prayers along with it... I read the messages to my Dad and family and it gives us comfort knowing you are all there with us... Dad had a very tough time today stem cell infusion.. he had 8 syringes, first 5 was no problem, 6th started to get chest discomfort, throat discomfort heaviness... cramping diarhea with 6th they had to give him in the bathroom, blood pressure went way up over 200s shaking so bad they couldn't measure blood pressure even manually... they administered some medicine through iv to stop shaking along with other medications, then started throwing up, coughing... it was terrible I couldn't watch him the whole time had to leave the room didn't want to have my anxiety effect others... mom left at one point too and couldn't go back in... it was so scary... they held on the 8th shringe for about 5 1/2 hrs later... it was the dsmo chemical the stem cells were stored with... he had too many bags so too much of dsmo... he did well with the last syringe... no reaction... what's important is for others anyone going through it is to tell the SMALLEST bid of reaction they feel so they can give breaks in between bags... I'm glad it's over... he has no apetite at the moment... again thank you very much for all the notes and everything... not sure of how to start a new thread can't think at the moment... unless someone else wants to start it for me...

    Daddys girl...i dont
Daddys girl...i dont understand why they gave him all that at once. I too had a lot of bags of stem cells and they split the infusion over two days so i wouldnt have the reactions that your dad had. I would really question why they decided to infuse all in one day when they could have easily split it over two. Im very sorry that he had a negative response to the chemicals that store the cells. Im sure that was very scary to watch and I hate that you had to see that and that your dad had to endure that. I will continue to pray for his recovery and truly hope that things get easier for him.

I got home from the clinic and they are very happy with my counts. WBC staying at 4.7. Plateletes and Hemaglobin both increased. Havent had an infusion yet since discharged. Appetite is coming back slowly. Once again I want to thank you all for your cares

I think we should def start a new thread for DaddysGirl, if you want ill start it for you

Hope all is going well. I just signed up with cancer survivor network. I heard about your situation through a friend who survived Lymphoma. He is watching your posts. I suffer from Hodkins Lymphoma. I am set up to receive stem cell transplant. I am going to beginning the process towards the later parts of July. Well a nurse just showed up to my house got to cut things short.

God bless you and your family Mike.
