Today was my husband's last dose of yervoy. He survived with minimal side effects. The biggest one was fatigue. Seven months from diagnosis...I am wondering how long til strength gets re-gained? Does it come back after all 4 doses of Yervoy? Anyone have any stories to relate on the subject?

    My husband was diagnosed 3
My husband was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with metastic melanoma.. He did 2 six month rounds of chemo.. had 2 rounds of interlukin 2 with no response. He had 4 treatments of yervoy & the tumors on his leg have flattened. He had several small tumors appear in his lungs so the oncologist suggested another round of yervoy. He did 4 more treatments & only 3 spots remain on the lungs. So far the only side effects are EXTREME fatigue & some pain in his right side... Has anyone any suggestions to help fatigue...

    Appetite and Strength
Awesome to hear this about your husband....so did he get his appetite back and regain any weight loss? How is his strength aside from the fatigue? My husband was really bad again yesterday. I don't know how we kept from getting admitted. Again doctor is thinking it is the Zelboraf and said to discontinue it for a week. My husband and I talked about it and I think if he gets better this week with eating and strength, we are going to opt out of continuing it all together and hope the Yervoy will keep things quiet. Tried to get him out of the recliner for an hour yesterday and we finally gave up and decided to try today so we could go get labs done for Thursday's MRI. Today was alot better than yesterday although he is still weak and can't eat. Hopefully the next days will get better each day.
