Hey Everyone,

I thought I'd stop by to say hello. Thankfully I was able to post! I hope everyone here is doing well. I think of you all often.

A couple of months ago, I started having a lot of trouble getting into this site. It would take me 15 minutes or more to get the site to load and just that much longer to try and post. The website was not accessible and would constantly time out for me. I gave up. I came back the Friday before Easter to wish you all a happy Easter and the same thing again. Anyway, glad I could get in today.

Some of you may remember, we built a new house last year and moved in and I was diagnosed with the kidney cancer less then 2 months later. Needless to say, we didn't get much done around here last summer, so we are doing a ton of work outside on things we should have done last year. I planted a small vegetable garden this year and a pumpkin patch. I've been feeling okay, but so completely fatigued and tired. Not sure if it's something from the surgery last year, my fibromyalgia or a combination, but I'm working hard around here and ignoring the fatigue as much as I can. Well anyway, I just wanted to tell you all hello and that I think of you often and keep you all in my prayers. Much love and hugs to you all!

Blessings,
Lisa

    Hi Lisa,

Good to hear from you and glad you are doing well. Its really nice for us "old timers" when those we have gotten to know so well check in from time to time. Sounds like you've been very busy.

The site seems to have improved a bit lately, I too have had trouble in the past.

    Thanks for the update,

    Gary

Do stay in touch here Lisa - you've always been such good company.

Short of actually beating your head against the wall, do persevere. I've been in touch with the CSN team and am assured that they are in the process of reviewing the site and, in particular, its performance, so we can expect it to get better 'some time soon', as you guys say.

I imagine you'll remember the various discussions of fatigue that have gone on here. Have you been checked out lately for anaemia, hypothyroidism, etc etc? Glad you're now able to enjoy the dream home and get back to more normal living. T.

    hi back
I was wondering where you were hiding. So glad you checked in and all is okay. I too went through some connection problems the week before and week of Easter, but haven't experienced it recently. Tex has been talking to the CSN people to try and improve the site, maybe we're already reaping the benefit.

Hope your fatigue is just temporary and your energy returns full force. Is you profile picture taken at your new place? Background appears very serene...

This site is very hard to get on to.
Sometimes I just don't have the energy to get on and wait for the information to come up. Other times like tonight it was quicker. I just gave up for a while.

I am glad you are getting your new house in order somewhat. The Fatigue is a bummer.

.You've had us wondering, Lisa. Nice to see you. So happy that life is going in a positive direction. Enjoy the house and your garden..........It can be VERY hard getting on site. I also often miss days. .......I understand the fatigue part. Maybe different but I didn't have this until the kidney demon. I think mines the MDX. But I used to do more on a weekend than I do in an entire week now.

    Hi back Lisa!
    Hi Lisa,

It's nice to hear from you again. I'm sorry you're still battling with the fibromyalgia and fatigue. Was the onset of each before or after your kidney cancer diagnosis/surgery (just wondering if they're somehow related to the surgery)?

Hope you start to feel much better soon!

    Hi TX!

Thanks for contacting the CSN team. That's so nice of you.

I haven't been checked for the anemia or anything else, but I've dealt with this for years and years with the fibro. I just think the surgery exacerbated the problem. How have you been doing?

    Hi
Hi Alice, I just realized you asked me about the background on my profile pic, but I changed it earlier today. The backgroud on the previous pic was taken about an hour away from here at our daughter-in-laws parents' house. Our place looks pretty much the same, though, as we're surrounded by huge hills and lots of trees. I wish we could post more then one picture here.

    Hi
    Hi OLG!

You asked about the fibro and fatigue. Coincidentally, or maybe not, this all came on in 2000 after my first ever surgery. I had a hysterectomy and never felt good after that. There are so many theories out there about Fibro and one is that the onset can be after a trauma of some sort, like a car accident, virus, surgery, etc. Now after this last surgery, I've felt worse again. Is there a connection? Not sure we'll ever know the answer to that for sure, but it makes me wonder. How are you feeling?

    Hi
    Hi Little Darlin,

I'm sorry you're feeling tired. It comes with the territory, though, and the best thing you can do is rest when you feel you need it. The time goes fast and I can't believe I am already 10 months post-op and before you know it, you will be as well. It's just a few short months out of our lives in which we need to slow down and take care of ourselves. I'm just biding my time now until my recheck in July.

I'm glad you liked the prayer thread. I was just thinking about that a couple of days ago and thinking about that rocking feeling I felt. I am so glad that God saw fit to sit with me that night. Take care of yourself!

    Blessings,
    Lisa

    Hi
Just hope it isn't too much longer before the CSN team makes the hoped-for improvements. Glad you're continuing to fight the good fight successfully. Don't know how I am - feeling great but CT scan on Friday will give the true story, whatever that may be.
