    No...but I did go twice a
No...but I did go twice a day for 22 days instead of 44 days. That meant I did get a larger daily dose of radiation than those who go daily. My skin held up pretty well, rash toward the end, and some brown peeling dead skin. But I never had any open seeping burns.

If you are considering mammosite, I would just say do your research and listen to your docs. Be sure and ask about any long term effects there might be.

    I hope this helps.

    mammosite
I have all ready had the radiation from April 19 thru April 25th. It did make me fatigued, mammosite was no more uncomfortable than a bladder catheter. Just a little pulling and tugging. I have had a little redness and peeling nothing major. Saw Radiologist again on May 20th and he said everything was healing up nicely. Waiting on oncotype test to see if I will need chemo right now. Glad you did well with your RAD treatments. My daughter had 53 RAD treatments for Hodgkins and it was real hard on her.

I'm certainly no expert on mammosite...
Here's what I do know: it's relatively new vs. "standard" rads. And, maybe more importantly as it directly relates to your question, not every BC patient is eligible for it. Which is why you might not find too many members here who can describe the experience.

Best wishes to you as you continue your journey.

    Kind regards, Susan

Yes I had the 5 days of mammosite radiation twice a day. Are you having chemo? I had AC 4 treatments and then 12 taxol infusions one a week. Its been 5 months since I have been done, doing pretty good, some days are better than others
