VIN 3 - Simple Vulvectomy

I was diagnosed with VIN 3 last month. I am scheduled for a simple vulvectomy on 4/26. I know this may sound silly but what's it going to look like down there? I'm only 25... I just had my son 7 months ago, and also diagnosed with anal cancer in 2/12.

What was your recovery like after a simple vulvectomy? How much help did you need?

Kaytie, what took you to the doctor in the first place, may I ask? What were your symptoms? I'm awaiting a biopsy of a white lesion.

Originally I went to the doctors about 5 months after I gave birth for hemorrhoids that did not go away. They turned out to be warts/tumors which were removed in a surgery in 2/12. The doctor that did that has said he saw some vaginal areas that looked abnormal so sent me to a gyno-oncologist who did a ton of punch biopsies. I had a lot of itching but had always chalked that up to sweating so much (pregnancy hormones were not my friend) It only took about 24 hours to get the results back. How long have you been waiting?
