    Dear Pepe
Saturday is "my special day"...dare I admit it? I will be 65! and I don't look a day over 40 thanks to the modern miricles available to us ladies...lol...I wish!

Nothing special planned...the neighbor ladies took me to lunch today, and the family sorta celebrated it along with Easter on Sunday.

Just grateful to be able to celebrate another 'special day'.

Wishing you good weather so you can get started on that tan!

    Hugs,

    Marie who loves kitties

    happy birthday
That is great I love it when everyone celebrates a birthday. Everyday is special but a milestone of being 65 is extra special. You'd birthday is the same as David Letterman who is on. Tv right now talking about his 65th birthday. Pray you have many more. Jeff

    taking it easy
My wife and I might go to the casino in Indianapolis for a few hours tomorrow. Its the one place where I don't feel pain or think about this awful cancer. The rest of the weekend will take it easy. Pray everyone has a good weekend. Jeff

    Lots of stuff!
Friday night Bill and I are going downtown to eat and look at the old cars that will be driven in for the first "cruise in" of the season. Good chance to see lots of people and visit some of the shops downtown.

Saturday I'm getting my hair cut. The world can relax. I will stop looking so shaggy! That afternoon I'm meeting my co-chair for survivorship for our Relay. We're going to make some centerpieces for tables for survivor receptions coming up this week and next.

Sunday will be church. That night I'm taking the youth to a church camp in our county for a special service and dinner and outdoor games.

Then I'm coming home to watch "Desperate Housewives."

    *hugs*

    great weekend
Doc's gave me a week off chemo so we could take the family on vacation... so we spent the last 7 days in Florida. Great family vacation and visited with mother & father in law.

Cancer makes us all appreciate family times more than ever.

i loved sitting on the beach, under a big umbrella as i cannot get any sun due to Erbitux and other chemo meds with skin rash and many other issues... but i loved sitting there watching my kids play and hanging with my wife.

great times, great weather and great family times.

    cheers and hugs to everyone.

What a plan Joe! did you have a swimming or you avoided
as well ? Honestly last summer I didn't pay too much attention to the sun while I was in folfiri , use to swim ,take sun ( just with a hat) . I use to be 3 months living in the beach out of Barcelona,so I have time to get used to the Sun ,first day lots of protection, umbrella and just 10 minutes but by the end of the summer I don't take any care honestly ,lol. The result is just a few dark spots in the body but nothing else, I asked to oncologist and he told me the only danger are skin issues so if I have tried and nothing happened it's fine, despite they always alarm you on the beginning .Notice I never been in erbitux which I know is specially hard for the skin so don't try my method Joe!! LOL.
Hugs and have an excellent weekend.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

I have been sick with asthma
I have been sick with asthma since February; going back and forth to thee doctor and emergency room. Your jpurney's has given me strength on mine. I am going to try to relax. I am on my second round of sreroids. The first round I was given 50 mg for 5 days and my broncbial asthma didn't get better, I have had xrays and they were negative; so don 't be surprised if you don't see me for awhile.
