    Hello Z - I am 19 months out
Hello Z - I am 19 months out of treatment and noticed a few months ago that I was having increasing stiffness in the right hip,leg area. I have to keep moving and stretching or it becomes very stiff. It sounds like we all have some type of stiffness depending on various areas in the pelvic/hip area. I guess this is a part of the radiation side effect? I do know moving and keeping hydrated helps me more than if I am sitting a lot (I do sew a lot so I have to get up and walk around) and not hydrated. I too have to be more diligent about exercise...need to get back on the treadmill. It's been my New Year's resolution for at least five years now. :-) Marilyne

    Groin Pain...
Hi, I am just short of a year out of treatment and like everyone else have pain and stiffness in the pelvis and groin area for sure. When I was young I was a dance major and continued to stay flexible as I aged. (now 53) But.....now I can not even sit comfortable "indian style" dumb word but I think thats it????? I started a light yoga class a couple months ago concentrating on breathing, relaxation, and light stretching to improve circulation and lymphatic system.....what a difference!!!! Its been just wonderful and truely notice my pain and stiffness lessening.I do even just 15min. of stretching everyday, doesn't have to be a big time consuming or professional thing, just stretch and deep breaths in a relaxing atmosphere and you will feel great! Good luck.

    Hi alyse!
I'm glad you are getting some help through massage and stretching. Obviously, the stretching is something we who suffer with this must keep doing. I have found it most helpful too. As a matter of fact, I'm going to stretch right now! Enjoy your weekend!

    Hi Alyse,
    Was it deep tissue

    Hi Alyse,

Was it deep tissue massage or regular massage? Not that I know the difference, but I'm starting deep tissue massage this Wednesday and am hoping it helps. I'm so glad whatever you're getting helps you! Even if the effects only last a little while right now, I'll bet in the long run it'll help a lot.

I wish I could say I'm going to stretch right now like you Martha, but NO. I was out this morning and have done enough for today. Oh, that's such a cop-out - maybe yes I will go do some stretching (after a little bit). :)

Indian style - no way! :)
Indian style - no way! :) I'm glad just to be able to put one leg under the other. And that's a huge improvement from 2 years ago. I gotta try yoga - I keep hearing how good it is for us...

    Thanks!
