urinary leakage

i am 3 1/2 years post radiation/chemo for stage 2. about two months ago i started having a slight urine discharge after urination. it is relatively minor-just a few drops, but enough that i notice wetness.. i am a male. does anyone else have a problem like this? the discharge started a week or so after my examination so i assume its not caused by the prostate as i think they would have found that. i hate seeing my local dr as he will use any excuse to run as many tests as he can think of, and hate calling my oncologist as i suspect this is a side effect of the radiation.

    Hi sugar1956
I'm not sure, but I would venture a guess that this is radiation-related. Pelvic radiation can do a number on the urinary system. You could have some scar tissue built up in the ureters, urethra or bladder that is blocking the urine from completely emptying out when you urinate. That's just a guess. When you received your radiation, were you advised to have a full bladder at treatment time? Having a full bladder can help protect it from effects of the radiation.

I am 3 years 2 months post treatment and male. I do have some minor urine leakage occasionally. I do have to urinate frequently. This has been a situation since my post treatments. I do not know if this is age related or post treatment related as I am 61 years old. I know as we get older this can be an issue.
