Hair Loss

I was recently diagnosed with lymphoma and began to experience hair loss. However, I decided not to let cancer take my personality while it battles for my body. My family helped me to make this a funny experience. I refuse to let cancer change for anything but the better!

    Welcome
    Welcome hollyrh!

I've been through a lot lately and today I have
the anxiety provoking CT scan, labs and oncologist visit this afternoon.
Thanks for making me smile and feeling stronger today.

Great attitude which is important! Glad to know there are some
others out there with my whacky sense of humor too :).

    Here's some Hot Chocolate ♥

    Hugs and positive thoughts,

    hair loss...
    Hi,
Welcome to our group!Try to remember the hair loss is a temporary thing and it will eventually grow back. Our hair does not define who we are..we just feel better WITH it!...ha! I didn't lose mine completely, but it sure did get thin and whispy looking. Keeping a good attitude will help keep your stress lower which in turn works well for your immune system. Hang in there and come back here for support...someone is always around to help out.
    Best wishes...Sue

    Hair Loss
Oh it will grow back! But sometimes it comes in wavy or a differant color. My hair is finally back in after 8 sessions on R-CHOP. My last session was in May 2011, and the hair didn't start to grow in till August. The back of my head is wavy and curly, lmao also my hair I just turned 56 in June and before it was sort of blond but now it is ALL Gray! I guess so much for old age. I am currently in remission and nervously awaiting my scans due in the last part of March. Hang in there and keep up the Positive Attitude! prayers and all my hope coming your way.

    Type? Which chemo?
    Welcome!

Being a male, it was much easier for me to 'finish' losing my hair. Anyway, there has never been a better time for a guy to be bald. In a slight reversal of fortune, mine had been gray, but came back slightly blond. A former coworker asked me if I was coloring my hair :-D Ladies, on the other hand... well scarves are highly underrated while being very fashionable, and hats are always cool.

Which type of lymphoma do you have? What is your chemo regimen? I am assuming here that the hair loss is chemo related.
