If pre-surgery Radiation and/or HDT treatment has an effect the pathological features of Prostate cancer cells, how then can an accurate determination be made of pathologic gleason score after surgery?

    treatment effect
Jeff, if the sample taken from the radiation treated prostate shows only those cells necrotic and affected by the radiation then Gleason is not reliable or even obtainable.
However, if there is regrowth of active tumor cells in a radiated gland, an example of incomplete, inadequate, or unsuccessful radiation treatment, then G score can be obtained from these viable tumor cells. This is also true after HIFU, Cryo or other treatments.
