Secondary Peritoneal Cancer Good Chemo Results

Hi all: For those with secondary peritoneal cancer, I just got the results of an MRI I had done last week and they were good - no new growth, nodules haven't increased in size at all, and some have shrunk in size. I only have 6 nodules. No other signs of cancer anywhere. So the oxaliplatin-irenotecan-5FU chemo (I had 12 treatments) seems to be one that works. I am off chemo until January and my oncologist is pursuing surgery options (unfortunately surgery for peritoneum cancer is only done in one city in Canada, Calgary). So, even though the chemo was kind of tough (well, worse than the cisplatin-gemcitibine chemo I had last year), it seems to work. I love being off chemo!

    Chemo Break
It's amazing how good one feels with no chemo - no bottle of 5FU dangling from my waist, no nausea, no fatigue, no diarrhea, and lots of energy! I'll not want to go back on it!
    Thanks all!
