I am looking for someone who is around my age who has had Ovarian Cancer to chat with. I had a hysterectomy when I was 23 and with all the scares about HRT I would like to talk with someone. Please email even if you just want to talk a little about your experience.

Thanks..

Hi..I read your message and like you, at age 23 I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. I had a total hysterectomy at the age of 23, I am divorced with no children and will never have any. I was okay with that at first but here lately I have found myself really setting into a depression. I am on HRT and I have also heard so many things that I am totally confused about it. It would be great if I found someone with my sames problems to chat oe e-mail with

Hi, I just recently turned 20 and I underwent a laporotomy a month ago to remove a large low grade malignancy (borderline) tumor that originated on my left ovary. They ended up removing my left ovary and scraped malignant growths off my right one. They also found a small malignant growth in the cul-de-sac, technically making my cancer a stage II. Granted, my cancer is not carcinoma and I was told this is not life threatening, but I am scared and angry all the same. I was told I have a 20-30% chance of this returning, and I am worried about staying healthy and cancer free long enough to have children in 10 years or so. And I still have tons of questions about my condition that I was wondering if any of you had the answers to. Like, would any of this cause complications during a future pregnancy? Are there any treatments at all that I can look for? (I was told that chemo and radiation simply won't work on my low malignancy slow growing cancer. They told me all I can do is wait and watch in case it comes back.) Should I consider getting my eggs harvested while I still have a healthy ovary left? And does my borderline cancer have any chance of "turning into" or developing into carcinoma? Am I more prone to getting carcinoma in the future?
If any of you would like to e-mail me to start an on-going conversation, I would be incredibly greatful. I just want people to talk to who have gone through similar situations. Thanks so much.

    This year I was diagnosed
This year I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, at age 31. At the time of diagnosis I was planning my wedding and after that we wanted to have kids. This disease took that away from my fiancee and I since I needed a full hysterectomy. It is very hard at times because I think of the what if's and not being able to have biological children. If anybody wants to talk I am more than willing. My email is jbeans888@hotmail.com you can find me on facebook with that email address
