I have 22 boxes ( 5 to a box) of Hollister New Image #14708 Pre cut 1-1/2 wafers. I will ship these to anyone who has to pay for their supplies, just can't stand to throw them out with the trash. I now use a smaller size, probably hsve extra bags also, wife is getting ready to move into our new house and is in the process of eliminating. Steve

    Wonderful
You are so generous about giving those all away. Please also contact your local Ostomy support group. They are wonderful people as they have given me much support. Thanks for thinking of the less fortunate. God Bless!

    Used Medical Supplies
I checked with the local V.A. Hospital thinking it would help some young Vet but was told they do not accept used medical supplies. Each are in a sealed pouch but are still considered used. Thought someone on this board that has to buy their own or copay could use them rather than donate them to be shipped to another country.
A personal story of donating in a foreign country, in 1999 after 3 previous vists on my own sail boat to Cuba, took up a collection of clothing, personal use items and candy from my neighbors to donate to kids in a orphanage that we had visited. This was all new stuff, not someone elses hand me down and I filled the aft stateroom of a 44 ft. so there was a lot. Upon arrival at Cuban Customs( Marina Hemmingway) I was told that I could only bring in $100 in value to distribute personally everything else must go to the government I'm sure I provided Christmas for those who confiscated it. ....Steve

    Yep don’t throw them out
I called my radiation nurse buddy at our local country hospital. She has a nurse buddy that takes care of all the stoma folks in this area. We have a lot of poor folks in this area. She said yes bring them in. So we boxed it all up and took it to her. I was glad to get them out of here and know they would be used.

    I think it's wonderful you
I think it's wonderful you thought of us. I'm also so glad we are able to not need them. I have a box of supplies that I am going to give to the home health nurse that did my care after surgery. She knows the people that need this kind of thing.

    Hello Steve,
    Good

    Hello Steve,
Good afternoon.! Do you still have those free ostomy supplies. I live in the Philippines and there are no hollister products available here and those ostomy supplies are very expensive here. I have a brother living at Florida and he can ship those supplies here to me. I'm 45 y, female and been dx with rectal cancer and had my Operation last nov 11 , 2010. I'm still adjusting to my colostomy and still have a hard time accepting my condition but I know I have to because this is for my entire lifetime. How about you, if you don't mind me asking, did you also had a hard time adjusting. Colostomy supplies here in the Philippines are very costly and hard to find. Thank you very much...

DJM; Yes I still have them and live in North Florida so it's no problem to ship them to your brother. Have him E-mail me his address (snpglenn@aol.com). I can relate to difficulty accepting a colostomy, I was 68 and had never spent a night in the hospital untill this. It's been over 2 years and now it is just another routine but it took awhile to accept it. I was scheduled to have post surgery chemo (folfox) and took one treatment, deceided I would rather have quality than quanity and quit, so far all yearly scans are clear. Still have my port and will probably keep it for another year just in case. I did have a little depression after the operation and had to work thru that, no pills just projects to get my mind off cancer.
    Wish you the best.......Steve
