    Awesome!
So happy to see all these posts about successful surgeries! Was your surgery robotically assisted? These typically take longer, about 12-14 hours. Tom had one of these and it lasted nearly 14 hours.
Don't forget to do your exercises - 1 mile a day of walking and breathing exercises every half an hour if you are not sleeping. I cannot overstate how important these are in getting back to normal! As soon as NG tube is out, you would be practically running.
Wishing you fast recovery and good pathology reports.

    Fast Recovery!!
    WOW. Jeff!!!

That is what I would call a fast recovery!!

Great to hear things went well. Hope the swallow test and pathology report are what you want to hear.

    Prayers for rapid recovery.

    Best Regards,

    Paul Adams

Wouldn't say I'm recovered just yet....
    Paul-

I'm up, but I wouldn't say I'm recovered just yet. Doc said it's like trying to open an envelope without having anyone notice. My scars are very small, though I made it clear I wasn't worried about that... Told him to GET IT OUT! I have no pain at surgery sites...some itching...but my left hip was KILLING ME...doc sId I was laying on it the whole time.

Surgery is no piece of cake, but it's certainly manageable!

Luis looks great! Luis, the nurses had alot of nice things to say about you in icu! Kudos to you and your wife (whose name I have forgotten again from the drugs...were gonna ride in the spring!)

    Glad you're doing great!
Glad you're doing great! Thanks for keeping us posted. From the number of surgeries going on in your area, it sounds like a convention. What a day to be thankful in so many ways. Godspeed on your recovery. Mary

    Thank You
Congrats on the surgery and I hope you have a speedy recovery. I'm hoping that my mother can also have surgery down the road. We start Chemo / Radiation this week. I've been such a mess since finding out she had tumors 2 weeks ago and I love hearing success stories on this site small or big wins. Please post followups posts on how the recovery is coming along. Thanks.
