Whole body scan results?

Well, it's been a while since I have posted. It's been 4 months since I had my TT and there hasn't been much going on. I am seeing a new endo that I really like and a new radiation oncologist that I also really like. I had my whole body scan last Friday and got the results on monday. Doctor said that there is a suspicous area in my upper chest that reacted to the iodine pill. I have a CT scan tomorrow morning to see what exactly it is. My question is has anyone else had a suspicious scan that turned out to be nothing on a CT? I had a CT scan with contrast back in August and it did not show anything then. If it is a lymph node like the doc expects, why wasn't it seen on the first CT? Also, how is it that there would be a lymph node in my upper chest area before there would be any in the neck region? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Got the results from the CT scan
I had my CT scan this morning and my dr. just called and said that nothing showed up on the chest part of the CT scan but that there was some dense areas in the thyroid bed. He says he's not sure if it is just residual tissue left after surgery or if it is more than that. He wants me to see a surgeon so he can evaluate the scan and give his recommendation. My TSH is barely detectable so I don't understand why the concern. I have also not had the RAI treatment yet. I feel like I am being pushed in a direction I do not want to go in and I am not sure if it is my fear of another surgery or my desire to just have this over with!

the concern is if there is
the concern is if there is thyroid tissue that is cancerous it may not change your TSH much depending on whats up with it.

could also be alot of other things.

I would wonder what the dense areas are... are they scar tissue or thyroid or blood clot or something else that shouldnt be there???
