Doctor gave us hope today

The doctor gave us hope today. We left the doctors office on Tuesday with the feeling he was end stage and just a matter of time. I think it was worse than they day we were told he had cancer. Turns out the doctor was looking at old blood tests. He went to the other doctor today and he had the blood test results from yesterday and his cancer markers were dropped to almost half. His ammonia level was way down and the white on the ct scan are now small dots. The doctor said this is the best news we coulds get. The treatments are working! He might be able to get on the transplant list. Wow what a change from from a week and a half ago when his ammonia levels got so high and he was close to a coma.

    Hi Lmjb73, Glad to hear your news. We also got good news. Yesterday was the first part of a two part procedure for my husband. We are waiting to hear when the Y-90 procedure will be. Just found out this week that someone who had the Y-90 over a year ago finally got his liver transplant this week. He is our inspiration!!! We look forward to being there too, soon, we hope!!!
