    All opiates cause constipation
So it makes sense as an anti-diarrheal. Definitely one of the happier ways of controlling it.

BTW, it was The Hollies who made the charts, the Osmond's did a cover in '71. ;-). Great song though, one of many great hits written by Neil Diamond.

    The Osmonds
I heard that Marie divorced her first husband because he ran out of sperm. I don't know if that's true or not...probably not.

As far as your brother, I'm stage IV (had liver and lung mets too) and a lot of things can change over time. I've had bouts of diarrhea that were intense, then times when I couldn't go at all. That could switch in a week's time. Did they change his protocol at all or is he on the same meds and the same frequency? Never had the chance to do opium though. I did smoke it once. All you want to do is smoke more opium.

    Hospice
I know last week you were mentioning that per the doctor's recommendation, that family was flying in, have they made it yet? Is his wife coming back? (I'm assuming she in Oregon somewhere?) Have you called hospice in yet? I hate to ask so many questions, but I'm just wondering how Dallas is doing with all of this? How are you holding up? Most certainly a prayer or two your way.

    A popular OTC anti-diarreheal drug....
...has opiate in it....morphine works, too...but, for me, the clock kept melting and sliding down the wall when I took it!

I'm fortunate...banannas and cheese do the trick! (and even beef...I eat beef for dinner the night before I fly to Holland, so it's less likely that I will need to sit down when I used the bathroom I share with 100 or so other flyers! ROFL)

    Dutch hugs, Kathi
